Is responsible for increasing the sales of company products marketed in the local & national accounts that are assigned in his/her area of responsibility. Area Coordinators are responsible for fully understanding the duties and procedures of the position and constantly work toward the attainment of specific performance goals (IE: Sales, Display, Distribution, P.O.S. and Account Compliance) through assigned sales routes.
NATURE AND SCOPE
- Training & Development – Building Bench Strength
- In house classroom training once per month
- Time Management/Account Coverage / Call Frequency
- Presentation skills with or without IPAD
- Trade Math
- Account Compliance
- Delivery of assigned Sales & Distribution Goals
- Maintain Financial Controls of assigned team
- Train & Develop Assigned Sales Reps (Work withs)
- On-the-job training (on route).
- Maintain close working relationships with sale reps (dedicated and universal) and merchandisers.
- Build out weekly sales plan tied to the overall monthly operation sales and marketing business objectives.
- Review work plans weekly, highlight the wins and coordinate gap closing initiatives on the opportunities with sales reps and where appropriate, Sales Managers
- Establish and maintain good relationship with assigned retailers.
- Offer retailers best service possible and product information for the category.
- Consult with retailer regarding all Red Bull packages that this company has to offer.
- Consult with retailer regarding sales trends (refer to chain sales comparison).
- Take necessary steps to increase sales of these brands and packages in retail accounts.
- Understand, adhere and execute all J&L Ventures, LLC. Retail Account Standards
- Comply with and enforce the J&L Ventures LLC dress code.
PRINCIPAL INTERACTIONS
- Regional Red Bull Manager and General Sales Manager daily to discuss current execution vs. goals and any pertinent competitive or customer information.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree from a four year college or university: or three to five years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record. Candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized and able to demonstrate professional sales and administration skills. Must be goal oriented and able to prioritize multiple goals and strategies. Must be capable of time management, strategic planning, concise communication & strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and be physically able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds of product regularly.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Red Bull Area Coordinator is to Plan, Monitor, Execute and Coach Employees based on the policies and procedures outlined in the J&L Performance System
- Review and report all programs that are sold in to Brand Manager on a weekly basis
- Must be in complete alignment with Brand Manager and company initiatives and accountabilities
- Fill Red Bull space, build displays and install POS, if necessary, during account calls.
- Review the weekly plan vertically up and down during each sales meeting breakout with each assigned sales rep.
- Perform regular retail buyer calls to present and sell in new distribution and displays
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
All employees will conduct themselves in a manner to create a favorable impression of Beverage South (SC/GA). Take pride in your personal appearance, actions, language and attitude. Be positive, show the retailers you care. Treat each one as though they are the most important one on your route, regardless of size. Interact with all personnel in a professional manner.

- Assist in the company’s sales effort however possible.
- Ensure that all the company’s safety rules and practices are adhered to, (both personal and operational).
- To adhere to all laws, rulings and regulations as prescribed by any regulatory agencies with jurisdiction.
- Keep open lines of communication with all supervisory and management personnel.
- Report market activity. What is the competition doing, price changes, change of ownership of accounts, placements gained or lost, etc.
- Complete accurately and in a timely fashion reports requested by the General Manager, Sales Manager/Designate or Office Manager.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance and adhere to all company and supplier dress requirements. All facial hair will be neatly trimmed.
- Help keep the Sales Office, POS Area, and other respective areas clean and organized. Pick up after yourself.
- Failure to maintain a high standard of appearance, actions, language and attitude will be grounds for dismissal.
- You are responsible for maintenance and appearance of your assigned vehicle
- Fuel cards are not for personal use. Unauthorized use will result in termination.
QUALIFICATIONS

EQUIPMENT
- Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard office machines such as copier, computer, fax calculator, etc. Proficient with Excel, Word programs and PowerPoint.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Proficient ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA
- Work with some confidential data such as product costs, individual wage and salary rates or schedules, which, if disclosed, might have adverse internal or minor external effect.
